The challenge of the project is to use the potential of the San and Strwiąż rivers for the development of tourist products of the PL-UA border based on the common natural heritage and to transform the unused natural potential into an increase in tourist traffic.
The first stage of the project is the work of experts (PL-UA), consisting in an inventory of the tourist and natural potential and recommending tourist products based on the natural heritage of the borderland.
The second stage is promoting the potential of the borderland based on package offers and recommendations of specialists. In this regard, it is planned:
- organizing 4 promotional events for individual tourists and the media (enriched with elements of niche tourism, e.g. participation of a nature photography instructor, ornithologist specializing in bird watching, angler, etc.).
- publishing of printed materials, i.e. maps, incl. with route suggestions and a water safety instructor
- preparation of internet materials, i.e. an interactive guide, incl. with photos of riverside birds (after clicking) with "sounds" of a given species
- promotion on the Internet with the participation of influencers and the media (each time the potential on both sides of the border).
Below we present the effects of the experts' work (first stage of the project):
